Interesting that so many people do this I blame bad trackpads for this. I blame the cover system which is probably meant to make it easier for console players since you don't have to move around while keeping a steady aim if you just stay in cover. But overall it's easier with mouse and keyboard than with a controller. The enemies in TR2013 move around a lot, even when in cover, so it's harder to pull off headshots (and since the starting weapons are rather weak, I always try to shoot them in the head). I just finished RotTR on Extreme Survivor and started replaying TR2013 with Gh0stBlade's Definitive Edition Lara mod () and I would say that RotTR's combat is easier. But since I don't actually like the combat all that much, I'm okay with this. In Rise it took me until the introduction of the deathless before I actually had to start moving around instead of just staying where I was when the combat started. By now I rather connect a mouse to a laptop than using the touchpad even for non-gaming stuff.įorgot to say: I think in particular with Rise (maybe also Reboot, can't remember), mouse and keyboard makes the combat way too easy in my opinion. :p I tried to do that but I never could get used to it. So you're one of those weird people who can comfortably play with a touchpad. LAU I play on keyboard and mouse, it's easy for me probably because I play on a laptop and the mouse is directly under the keyboard making it easy to reach the keys.
